Brewer Cycles wins PSB’s e-news contest

Brewer Cycle owner Chris Brewer signed up for the Powersports Business e-newsletter this spring, and as a result his Eastern North Carolina powersports dealership is the winner of a new netbook computer.

The HP Mini Notebook PC was awarded as part of a recent contest sponsored by Powersports Business in which everyone who signed up for the company’s e-newsletter during a specified timeframe was entered for a chance to win the computer.

“I started as a Yamaha dealer in 1981 at the young age of 21. I learned much about the industry from the three publications at that time,” Brewer said following his win. “I now have nine brands and read Powersports Business from cover to cover to keep up with the powersports industry. I learn valuable information to help me have a better business plan.”

Brewer started Brewer Cycles in 1981 as a single-line Yamaha dealership. Through the years, the Henderson, N.C.-based company expanded to offer products from Yamaha, Kawasaki, Honda, KTM, KYMCO, E-Ton, Sea-Doo, Polaris and Can-Am.

“Brewer Cycles has and always will focus on its customers and take care of our employees. By doing this, we will always be what I call a successful dealership,” Brewer said. “Yes times are tough, but you just have to work harder and stay abreast with what’s going on with magazines like Powersports Business.”

Dealers can continue to watch for more contests from Powersports Business in the future. In the coming weeks, dealers also should watch for e-mails and faxes regarding their free listing in the 2010 Powersports Business Dealer Directory, the only North American dealership database of its kind.
