AMA Hall of Famer Don Brown dies


American Motorcyclist Association (AMA) Motorcycle Hall of Famer Don Brown died in his Irvine, Calif., home at the age of 80, reported the AMA.

Brown held a number of high-profile positions in the motorcycle industry. He was a desert racer, the editor of Cycle magazine, general sales manager for Johnson Motors and held executive positions with Suzuki and BSA.

In 2007, the Motorcycle Industry Council awarded Brown the Chairman’s Award for his service to the industry.

Brown was inducted into the AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame in 2001.
