Aftermarket manufacturer fills key support, funding role

Aftermarket manufacturer Brock’s Performance is doubling the size of its 2010 drag racing contingency program, the company said in a press release.

More than $80,000 is available for AMA Dragbike and MIROCK Superbike dragrace competitors using Brock’s Performance exhaust systems and BST carbon-fiber wheels, a total that has exceeded what other aftermarket companies have done in the past, the company said.

In 2010, Brock’s Performance and BST are posting more money per class and a larger overall amount per race than any other AMA Dragbike contingency sponsor, the press release noted.

“Once we heard that factory contingency awards could be wiped out for the 2010 race season, I began thinking of ways to help,” Brock’s Performance President Brock Davidson said in the press release. “As a former privateer and factory-supported drag racer, I know how important contingency is to all racers and am proud that my company is in a position to help.”

AMA Dragbike President Scott Valetti says, “We certainly appreciate this dedication to AMA Dragbike. The racers who compete in the series are lucky to have Brock’s Performance devoted to its customers in so many ways.”
