BMW’s worldwide sales decline in October

BMW’s worldwide sales in October closely mirrored the company’s year-long results.

BMW’s sales were off nearly 13 percent in October, totaling 6,728, according to the company.

BMW’s worldwide sales for the year are off slightly more, at 13.6 percent. BMW has sold more than 76,400 motorcycles this year. Information was not available on the company’s North American results.

In other company news, BMW has said it will build a second car production plant in China. Construction on the $833 million investment is expected to begin next year. BMW has produced cars in China since 2003.
