Honda’s North American powersports new unit sales dropped 26 percent in its third quarter compared to the previous year period, the company recently reported.

That percentage includes motorcycle, ATV and PWC retail sales for the period ending Dec. 31.

The company’s new motorcycle sales in North America fell 7.6 percent during that time period to 48,000.

Honda’s worldwide motorcycle division sales increased during its third quarter because of gains in Asia and in its other regions.
