Yamaha recalls Rhinos

Yamaha Motor Corporation U.S.A., in cooperation with the Consumer Product Safety Commission, has recalled 7,800 Rhino side-by-side vehicles due to risk of brake failure, the CPSC said in a notice March 25.

The recall affects model year 2008 Rhino YXR450 and YXR700 Rhinos. The brake caliper on the left front wheel could have been made incorrectly, resulting in brake fluid leaking. This can cause a loss of braking and control of the vehicle. No injuries or incidents have been reported related to this recall.

Affected models were manufactured in the United States and sold at Yamaha dealerships nationwide from October 2007 through March 2008 for between $8,300-$12,000.
