Big Bike Parts modifies its open house program

Big Bike Parts, a Wisconsin-based manufacturer/distributor, has modified an existing program that encourages dealers to get the spring season started off with an open house.

The program provides retail giveaways that can be won by consumers at an open house event. This year, Big Bike Parts is increasing the amount of gift certificates dealers can give away, plus is holding a national contest, said Brandon Westphal, the company’s national sales manager.

Westphal said dealers that sign up for the program — a minimum $2,000 order is required — will be given five retail gift certificates worth a total of $400 to give away to consumers. Previously, the company provided $250 in retail gift certificates for the giveaway. This year, the open house program also includes national giveaways of five gift certificates of $1,000 each.

“It’s basically a good way to get the dealership thinking about spring, to get the season kicked off,” Westphal said about the open house program. “Get (dealers) to think about having an open house for their consumers to start driving the market.”

Dealers must sign up for the program by the end of March. The open house would then have to be held between April 1-June 30. The national giveaways would then be determined after that period.

Consumers can use the program’s retail gift certificates on any product from Big Bike Parts, including Show Chrome Accessories, Hopnel and UltraGard. Also for the first time, dealers that participate in the program will receive a Big Bike Parts’ lighted sign, Westphal said.
