Harley-Davidson’s year-end retail sales fall in 2007

Harley-Davidson’s retail sales for the United States dropped more than 6 percent in 2007 compared to the previous year, the company reported in its year-end financial report.

But thanks to growing foreign markets, the U.S. manufacturer reported just a 1.3 percent decrease in worldwide retail sales for the year.

Revenue for the full year dropped 1.3 percent to $5.7 billion while net income fell nearly 10.5 percent to approximately $933 million.
