Harley-Davidson and Buell release new bikes
Harley-Davidson and Buell recently debuted new motorcycle models, the companies said in separate press releases Jan. 21.
The Harley-Davidson FLSTSB Softail Cross Bones was unveiled at the company’s winter dealer meeting in San Antonio, Texas. The Cross Bones has a retro look with a Springer front end, with other bobber styling cues like a sprung solo seat and half-round rider footboards. The latest of several Harley-Davidson Dark Customs, the bike uses a twin cam 96B powertrain, six-speed cruise drive transmission and Softail suspension.
The Ulysses XB12XT is the second in Buell’s Ulysses sport bike line. The XB12XT uses a specially-tuned shorter travel suspension and lower standard seat height, tall windscreen, Pirelli Strada sport touring tires and standard lockable top box and side luggage cases.
