Polaris issues Ranger recall

In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Polaris Industries has voluntarily recalled several hundred Ranger UTVs because of fire and burn hazards, according to a CPSC report filed Dec. 6.

There were 330 model-year 2008 Ranger RZR 800 EFI UTVs affected by the recall. The utility vehicle’s fuel tank can leak, posing fire and burn hazards to consumers. The CPSC has received four reports of the fuel tank leaking. No injuries have been reported.

Machines with model number R08VH76AD (red) and model number R08VH76AG (green) are included in this recall. They were manufactured between Aug. 21, 2007, and Oct. 3, 2007, in the United States.
