Kawasaki increases ATV limited warranty to 12 months

Kawasaki Motors Corp. USA has increased its ATV basic limited warranty from six months to 12 months. The new warranty will apply to all 2008 units, as well as 2007 and prior year new Kawasaki ATVs retailed after Nov. 1, according to a Kawasaki press release.

Registered owners of 2008 ATVs will receive a letter from Kawasaki about the extended warranty. They also will receive updated product registrations cards and warranty certificates.

Kawasaki made this move about four months after Honda extended its warranty for ATVs.

Kawasaki also offers a Good Times Protection Plan for 12, 24, 36 or 48 months, which would go in effect after the basic ATV warranty expiration date. The protection plan includes unlimited mileage, no deductible, no paperwork and national coverage. It’s also transferable to the next owner at no cost.
