Sales of new powersports vehicles continue to lag behind last year, according to the Motorcycle Industry Council (MIC).
Overall sales of MIC-reporting companies trail 2006 by 8.2 percent, according to retail sales data through September.
The biggest declines have come in off-road motorcycles (15.1 percent) and ATVs (11 percent), according to the MIC data released today.
The industry’s largest segment, on-road motorcycles, also is down, with new unit sales lagging 4.6 percent behind last year.
