Piaggio: Stable North American sales but overall revenue up

The Piaggio Group said its first-half 2007 revenue and gross margin were both up over last year even as its half-year North American sales were only “stable.”

The Italian manufacturer shipped 396,000 vehicles worldwide, a 4 percent increase over the year-ago period. Its net sales increased notably in Europe (by nearly 17 percent) and India (15.5 percent).
