Motorcycle Safety Foundation announces 2006 award winners

The Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF) recognized a number of people who have significantly contributed to rider education and motorcyclist safety, according to a MSF press release.

MSF president Tim Buche said MSF’s awards are their way of saying thank you for everyone’s time and contributions to the motorcyclist safety issue.

“Whether the award recognizes an individual or an organization, behind it all you’ll find people devoted to the common goal of motorcyclist safety,” he said in the release.

Some of the awards included Outstanding State Program, Outstanding RiderCoach Trainers, Outstanding Dealers/Retailers, Outstanding Motorcycle Safety Support, etc.

A committee selected the winners among the nominations submitted by the training community. The committee was made up of three MSF staff members and four state administrators, none of which were from motorcyclist-funded, state-operated programs.
