August 13, 2007 – ATV, UTV companies to attend new, big trade show this fall

At least 25 companies affiliated with the ATV industry are expected to be on hand for the Green Industry & Equipment Expo, a trade show that will be held this fall in Louisville.
The show is the first of its kind as it is a combination of the Green Industry Conference and Expo and the International Lawn, Garden & Power Equipment Expo. Approximately 25,000 participants are expected, including 650 manufacturers. Many of those manufacturers will fall outside the powersports arena, but there are a number of ATV and UTV companies attending the expo, including accessory manufacturers Kolpin Powersports, Great Day and others.
The event also is being billed as an educational and networking opportunity for dealers as a number of seminars are scheduled for the event.
The event’s location, the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville, offers an exhibit hall of more than 400,000 square feet and an outside arena that includes an additional 20 acres. That outside area in itself is expected to include 170-plus exhibits.
Besides ATV companies, expo participants are expected to include distributors and manufacturers of lawn, garden and outdoor products and equipment for consumer and commercial use, lawn and landscape professionals, general contractors, golf course superintendents and more.
The event is expected to draw international interest as exhibitors from Canada, China, England, India, Sweden and Taiwan attended the two events last year.
Attending dealers can sign up for “The Dealer Experience,” a package that provides interactive learning and network opportunities. Dealers who sign up can attend lunch-time sessions, including “Best practices for consumer-oriented dealers,” and a dealer club, a private area where dealers can relax, check e-mail and enjoy refreshments. Each lunch costs $15 and preregistration is required for The Dealer Experience.
Participants also can attend workshops for a $50 fee, including “The 9 Super Simple Steps to Entrepreneurial Success” by Marty Grunder, who started a business in 1984 with a $25 mower and now owns Grunder Landscaping Co., which does more than $3 million in sales annually. psb
