National distributor Global Motorsport Group Inc. announced a number of business changes, including a reduction of its “noncustomer facing positions” and outside sales force.
The employee reduction will reduce costs and enable investment in greater inventory to benefit its dealer, the company said in a news release.
Global did not specify how many employees were laid off or if it would affect Motorcycle Stuff, Custom Chrome or both distributors.
The company also announced other changes, including the creation of a Regional Market Development and Sales Leadership Team that is intended to identify and capitalize on new product trends.
