Polaris makes senior leadership appointments to international division

Seeking to grow its worldwide business, Polaris Industries Inc. appointed Truis Tvete to the company’s international division, according to a news release.

Tvete, who began his career with Polaris as general manager of Polaris Scandinavia in 2002, will eventually assume full responsibility for the international division, aggressively pursue growth opportunities and manage relationships with subsidiaries and distributors around the world, according to the release.

Tvete will initially report to Mark Blackwell, who will continue as vice president of Victory Motorcycles and international operations. Blackwell will transition responsibilities to Tvete during the next 12 to 18 months.

“We’re confident Truis is the leader for this important position and that he will use his track record of success to propel our international business to the next level,” said Polaris CEO Tom Tiller.

Other appointments in the international division include Einar Wangen, promoted to general manager for Northern Europe, and Sean Bagan, promoted to international projects manager. Ross Clifford will join Polaris in May as general manager for Polaris Britain Ltd.

All of the appointments are effective immediately.
