Piaggio’s 2007 sales should be up, Colaninno says
Piaggio SpA’s 2007 EBITDA and sales should increase substantially from 2006, said chairman Roberto Colaninno, adding that the first two months of this year have gone “well.”
Speaking at the launch of the Carnaby scooter model, he said 2006 results, due at the end of next week, will not be far from analysts’ expectations.
“The first two months have gone well,” Colaninno said. “Net of the extraordinary sales last year, we have sold 13,000 units more.”
Early 2006 sales were inflated by a major order from Italy’s postal service.
On 2007 results, Colaninno said, “everything has to be managed. The aim is to increase EBITDA from 2006, and also sales.”
