Plans in place for $15 million dealership in Fla.

Rick Case Honda Powerhouse has plans for a new $15 million, seven-story, 275,000-square-foot facility. Owner Rick Case says the Davie, Fla.-based dealership will be the biggest anywhere.

The new store is more than quadruple the space the current location occupies. Rick Case Honda Powerhouse already sells more motorcycles than any other dealership in Florida, state figures show. Last year, it sold about 5,000 on- and off-road vehicles, up 14 percent from 2005 when it sold about 4,400.

Case anticipates cycle sales at the dealership will grow to about 9,000 in 2009, which will most likely be its first full year in its new facility. Sales are projected to top $85 million; the store’s 2006 sales were $47 million.

In addition to Rick Case Honda Powerhouse, Case operates 13 Acura, Honda, Hyundai, Mazda and Mitsubishi automobile dealerships in South Florida, Georgia and Ohio. While the entire company is still tallying final numbers for last year, it expects 2006 sales will reach $590 million, up from $556 million in 2005.
