White Brothers to expand engine development
White Brothers Performance Products, Inc., Yorba Linda, Calif., plans to expand its line of performance engine part offerings by introducing special engine packages suitable for beginners to professional racers.
White Brothers offers product for four off-road categories — motocross, ATV, mini motocross and supermoto — so the engine packages, complete with jetting specs, technical support and maintenance information, will support numerous engine designs.
Tasked with four-stroke engine development and development of engine products, Tom Morgan has joined White Brothers as the director of engine development.
Morgan joins White Brothers with 25 years of engineering experience. He began his career at the factory level in early 1980 test riding and designing prototype street machines as well as off-road vehicles for Kawasaki.
He moved on to work with Kawasaki’s Team Green factory motocross team as a mechanic and designer tuning for Billy Liles from 1983 to 1985, Eddie Warren in 1986, Jeff Ward from 1987 to 1992, and Mike LaRocco in 1993. Eleven seasons of racing produced dozens of Supercross and National moto wins and seven AMA National Championships, and Morgan received the Gold Wrench award from the American Motorcyclist Association five times.
In 1994, he began Tom Morgan Racing, providing personal customer service for suspension, engine, and chassis design for riders of all levels.

Founded by Tom White in 1975, White Brothers is celebrating its 30th anniversary. White Brothers racing exhaust systems are exclusively used by the Factory Yamaha and Factory Honda motocross teams, and the company claims the most four-stroke exhaust wins in AMA Motocross history.
White Brothers also recently introduced a new Web site, located at the same address of www.whitebros.com, where visitors can read recent race reports and job postings; browse the company’s exhaust systems, engine parts, wheels, suspension components and other accessories; and find local dealers.
S&S Graduates First Class
In other engine news, technicians from Arlen Ness Custom Motorcycles of Daytona are the first graduates at the new S&S Training and Certification Facility in La Crosse, Wis.
Pro Tuning Center certification courses give students the ins-and-outs of performance, oiling systems, carburetors, exhaust and tuning. Certification is achieved when two or more VFI and Sidewinder qualified technicians are on staff at a S&S dealer. The dealer must also meet other necessary qualifications, such as equipment, in order to become certified.
China Top Scooter Suppliers

Buyang Group Co., Ltd. and China Xingyue Group Co., Ltd. are leaders in their field.
With annual electric and gas-powered scooter sales of $32 million, Buyang assembles more than 5,000 electric scooters and more than 2,000 gas-powered scooters daily. The company annually exports $30 million worth of products to the U.S., Japan, Europe and Australia.
China Xingyue Group average a monthly output of one million scooters. The company’s annual electric and gas-powered scooter sales total $45 million — $33 million worth of the goods are exported.
Wuyi Shengqi Motion Apparatus Co., Ltd. annually exports $12 million worth of electric and gas-powered scooters; Yongkang Taotao Vehicle Co., Ltd. exports $8.5 million in product; Zhejiang Lianbang Engineering Plastic Co., Ltd. is responsible for the export of $8 million in goods; and Zhejiang Yongjiang Industry Co., Ltd. exports $10.8 million in scooters. psb
