Roosevelt To Welcome PWC?

In what appears to be yet another in a string of recent victories for the personal watercraft industry, PWC could be poised to return to Washington State’s Lake Roosevelt National Recreation Area as early as May 30, 2004.
The NPS has completed the necessary environmental assessments on Roosevelt, and has recommended that PWC be allowed access to the lake waters. As expected, the Bluewater Network is considering yet another lawsuit to stop access to Roosevelt, as well as other parks that have since reopened to the craft. Both Lake Mead and Lake Powell have permanently reopened to PWC while, like Roosevelt, Amistad Recreation Area has ruled in favor of their return. Currently eight other park areas await a final ruling.
