January was not a profitable month for Top Gun dealers nationwide, even though store traffic was up a whopping 12% over January 2003. It was only the second time in 13 months that traffic had increased over the same month in the previous year.
However, Top Gun dealers reported that profit margins were a negative 2.3% for the month. That compares with a profit margin of 1.1% in December 2003 and a loss of 1.4% last January.
