March 8, 2004 – Motorcycle Stuff adds Repsol oil line

Repsol petroleum products, previously unavailable in North America, are now distributed exclusively by Missouri-based Motorcycle Stuff, a division of Global Motorsports.
Motorcycle enthusiasts may recognize the Repsol name through the company’s sponsorship of some of the world’s top road race competitors, starting with Angel Nieto in 1971, and including Mick Doohan, Alex Criville, Valentino Rossi and, for 2004, Nicky Hayden.
Based in Argentina, Repsol YPF operates in more than 25 countries. It is one of the 10 largest privately-held oil companies in the world and the largest private energy company in Latin America.
Repsol and MC Stuff formed the 2004 Grand Prix de Lubricants to celebrate the recent agreement. Held for the 13 weeks between March 1 and May 24, the sales competition could have dealers visiting the Moto GP of Brazil on July 4 or the AMA Repsol Superstock Series race at Laguna Seca, July 11.
The weekly top three dealers of Repsol products during the 13-week competition will qualify for prizes. A total of 39 qualifying participants will make up the field, to be decided by random drawing on May 31.

NICHOLS ADDS SMARTIRE
Chicago-based Nichols Motorcycle Supply Inc. has signed on to distribute the second generation of product from SmarTire Systems Inc. an active tire pressure and temperature monitoring system that provides real-time tire information to the rider while the bike is in motion.
The new SmarTire system displays each tire’s pressure, temperature and pressure deviation at the push of a button. If the system detects a loss of air pressure or abnormally high tire temperature, an ultra- bright warning light automatically alerts the rider to the condition.
The distribution agreement follows the launch of the new SmarTire product at the Dealer Expo in Indianapolis. “The dealer response from the Expo for the SmarTire product was tremendous,” says Mark Wickler, president of Nichols Motorcycle Supply.
SmarTire product is also distributed by National Cycle. For more information about SmarTire Systems Inc., visit www.smartire.com.
