Ducati’s new Matrix in Milan

Ducati Motor Holding S.p.A. says it is teaming up with Warner Bros. Consumer Products to produce a limited edition Ducati 998 and Ducati Monster 620i.e., each inspired by “The Matrix Reloaded.”
A release prepared to coincide with a display of the bikes at the Milan International Motorcycle Show trade show, EICMA, which runs Sept. 16-21, did not include production figures, but the manufacturer says the bikes will be 2004 models available at Ducati dealerships around the world.
“The Matrix Reloaded” features a dramatic road chase on a Ducati 998. The bikes to be made available to consumers feature “Matrix” livery — special paint and graphics.
“The Matrix Reloaded,” which has earned over $770 million in worldwide box office to date, is scheduled to be released on DVD Oct. 14. To coincide, Ducati will hold a series of global marketing events, showing the bike at retail exhibits and auto shows.
