100 Big Ones
Blessed with perfect late-summer weather and a city prepared to play host to visitors from around the world, Harley-Davidson’s 100th anniversary celebration last month attracted an estimated 250,000 visitors to Milwaukee, Wis.
The manufacturer says over 150,000 attended actual ticketed events. Economic impact in the Milwaukee metro area, as tallied by the Greater Milwaukee Convention & Visitors Bureau, was $37 million, while statewide impact was estimated to be about $132 million.
“Overall, I think it was really a great event for everyone, the company, the visitors and the community,” Harley’s Mike Morgan said. See Page 22 for more information.
