PWC market likely entered a bottoming pattern in 2002. Major issues overhanging the PWC market are environmental issues concerning what lakes will restrict/ban watercraft, and economic uncertainty.
We believe these issues should subside as new four-stoke (environmentally friendly/quieter) engine technology becomes the standard, and fiscal stimulus should allow the PWC market to be stable over the next 1-2 years.
For 2003 and 2004, we expect the global PWC market will grow low single digits with North American retail sales driving this growth. Beyond this, we see the PWC market sustaining a low single digit annual growth rate.
