What brand ranked No. 1 in annual retail sales practice survey?

If you examined how well sale staffs sold each particular motorcycle brand in a dealership, which brand would come out as No. 1?

Such retail sale practices that could be measured would hit a range of topics, from providing a compelling reason to buy from a particular dealership to offering a test ride to even providing a product brochure.

Also, if you examined these same staffs, which brand would have shown the most improvement in these areas and other key retail sales practices compared to a year ago?

The 2010 Pied Piper Prospect Satisfaction Index (PSI) has spelled out how major motorcycle brands’ dealerships fared in turning motorcycle shoppers into motorcycle buyers.

Submit your guesses on 1) the top brand this year as defined by the PSI, and 2) the most improved brand as spelled out by the PSI this year in the comment section, and I’ll reveal the answers on Monday.

The PSI, conducted July 2009-April 2010, generates scores for individual dealerships. Those scores derive from more than 2,000 hired, anonymous shoppers who evaluate motorcycle dealerships nationwide.

By the way, the top scoring brands last year were Ducati, Harley-Davidson, Victory and BMW.
