Five of the Nifty 50 winners

For the 10th consecutive year, Affinity Media’s editors, including those from Powersports Business, have selected 50 products and services they believe to be must-see items at the upcoming Indianapolis Dealer Expo. Below is a look at five of those products and services.
All entrants for the annual Nifty 50 contest are judged on potential marketability and dealer profitability.
To be eligible, the products must be displayed at the Indianapolis Dealer Expo in February and be ready for delivery in the 2009 calendar year.
Some products will be unveiled online, but the full description and picture of each product will be in the Jan. 19 and Feb. 9 issues of Powersports Business.
Here are the first five Nifty 50 winners:
Hazardous-Sports Headcase
Company: Hazardous-Sports
The Headcase by Hazardous-Sports has a large volume, soft inner compartment to fit all helmet brands and types. It also features a tough ballistic nylon exterior, heavy-duty handle and mesh side pockets, 5 “D” rings to clip to backpack or backrest. It has an internal utility pocket for earpieces, keys or wallet.
The Customer Care Center
Company: MMCS Inc./Aftercare
The Customer Care Center (CCC) is a Web-based F&I tool that presents the dealership’s F&I products. The CCC ensures that 100 percent of the customers see 100 percent of the F&I product offerings, 100 percent of the time.
Fork Oil Injection Tool
Company: Factory Connection
It threads into the fork bleeder hole in virtually all off-road KYB, Showa, up forks. It measures in 1cc increments up to 10cc. The feature of threading into fork air bleed hole eliminates leaking when adding fork oil to better tune suspension without removing forks or disassembly.
SLR Series – Solar Motorcycle Luggage
Company: Nelson-Rigg USA Inc.
The first line of motorcycle luggage with built in solar charging capabilities. The sun’s natural rays will charge and keep charged the included battery ready for when the device needs to be recharged.
UTV Track Tie Down System
Company: Moose Utility Division
Available in two track sizes to accommodate all UTV bed sizes. There are two adjustable clips for tie downs, and the track bolts directly to the UTV bed.
The next set of winners will be revealed online Jan. 6. The first 25 winners of the Nifty 50 will be shown in the Jan. 19 issue of Powersports Business. The second 25 winners will be in the Feb. 9 issue.
