Markel Insurance Teams with BMW Owners
Markel American Insurance Company, Pewaukee, Wisc., has teamed up with BMW Motorcycle Owners of America to create The BMW MOA Endorsed Insurance Program, providing the nearly 40,000 BMW MOA members liability protection and physical damage coverage for their motorcycles.
“During the last three years the BMW MOA has searched for just the right insurance company to provide coverage for members’ motorcycles at fair premiums and deliver first class service,” said Ray Zimmerman, Executive Director of the BMW MOA. “Markel American promises to fulfill that requirement.”
Formed in March of 1972 as an all-volunteer organization, The BMW Motorcycle Owners of America has grown to be the largest brand specific motorcycle club in the world that is not owned and operated by the marque. The goal of the club is to promote the camaraderie and friendship of individual members and BMW motorcycle clubs. Primary member benefits are the BMW Owners News, the BMW MOA Anonymous Book, an international rally and a website (www.bmwmoa.org).
