Arctic Cat Recalls Prowler XT
Arctic Cat Inc., of Thief River Falls, Minn., is recalling approximately 700 of its Prowler XT off-highway utility vehicle for brake issues.
Arctic Cat has received notice of one incident of a brake pad dislodging from the rear caliper, and one incident of foot brake lever flexing. No injuries have been reported.
Sold worldwide through Arctic Cat dealerships from July 2005 through September 2005 for between $9,000 and $9,500, the Prowler XT is produced in three colors: Green, Cat Green, and Red.
The recalled units fall within the vehicle identification range (VIN) of 4UF06MPV06T300001 through 4UF06MPV86T300781. The vehicle identification number is located on the rear upper frame tube of the vehicle near the rear of the cargo box, and on the registration materials the consumer received at time of purchase.
Consumers with a recalled Prowler XT are asked to contact their local Arctic Cat ATV dealer to schedule the free repair. Arctic Cat said registered owners have been notified about this recall by mail.
