One of the most popular snowmobiling sites on the Web has become two, as Ehlert Publishing launched the new SnowGoer.com and SnowWeek.com on August 3.
The two sites, plus the soon-to-be-launched SnowmobileMagazine.com, are an outgrowth and expansion of Ehlert's former snowmobiling Web site, Snowmobilenews.com. That site regularly had more than 80,000 unique visitors and one million page views per month during prime snowmobiling season. The new sites are designed to expand that audience with new features and benefits, and new message boards.
The highest traffic site will be the new SnowGoer.com, the site of Snow Goer magazine. It picks up and expands upon the Snowmobilenews.com concept, with breaking news stories, polls, and some of the most interesting - and intense - message boards in the market, all hosted by the staff of the sport's most popular snowmobiling magazine.
The active Trash Talkers, Snowmobile Forum, Trail Conditions and Vintage message boards have been moved from Snowmobilenews.com to SnowGoer.com. Plus, new message boards have been added, including a Tech Talk board, a Buy/Sell/Trade forum and "Dear Snow Goer" - a chance for consumers to interact directly with the Snow Goer staff.
Meanwhile, Snow Week magazine gets its own web site, the all-new SnowWeek.com. Snowmobile race fans and high performance enthusiasts can get their fix 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, with racing and high performance news, interactive polls, race results and event information all on the front page.
The "Racing" message board from the old Snowmobilenews.com carries over to this site and is joined by dedicated message boards for each major form of snowmobile racing.
There's already an active Ovals & Enduros message board for circle-track racers and fans. Competitors and fans of asphalt, grass, ice or snow drags, plus speed runs, can interact on the new Straightline Racing message board. Fans interested in bumps racing can gossip about, or with, the top snocross stars or local heroes on our new Snocross message board. There's a Cross-Country message board serving that strong community, a Watercross forum for that crowd and a Hillclimb & Hillcross board for folks who like to challenge gravity.
Soon, Ehlert Publishing will launch a third snowmobiling Web site, called SnowmobileMagazine.com. This site will feature details about grass-roots snowmobile, plus information from Snowmobile Magazine and the Ultimate Snowmobile Buyers Guide.
Ehlert Publishing Group is a Minnesota-based subsidiary of the Affinity Group, Inc.
