Analyst Conder Lauded

Timothy A. Conder, analyst at A.G. Edwards & Sons, a unit of A.G. Edwards, Inc. in St. Louis, won first place in The Wall Street Journal’s Best on the Street rankings.
The Journal said Conder made “some aggressive calls” during the year, and lauded him for sticking with “buy” recommendations all year on marine-engine and boat maker Brunswick Corp., and cruise-line operators Carnival Corp. and Royal Caribbean Ltd. Those three companies returned 58%, 47% and 58% for the year, respectively.
A three-time Best on the Street winner, Conder also scored with Speedway Motorsports Inc. and International Speedway Corp., which posted gains of 28% and 23%, respectively, during the time he recommended them.
Second-place finisher was Dean M. Gianoukos, an analyst for J.P. Morgan Chase & Co. in New York. Michael Pachter of Wedbush Morgan Securities, Inc., Los Angeles, ranked third.
Conder is a contributor to Powersports Business.
