Daytona BikeWeek 2005, March 4-13
The 64th anniversary of Daytona BikeWeek 2005 runs two full weekends, March 4-13.
Again sponsored by the 109,000 sq. ft. Daytona Harley-Davidson, the event will feature major manufacturer exhibits on display at Riverfront Park, open 9am to 8pm daily; the Sunshine Park Vendor Expo at 2400 S. Ridgewood Ave.; and the Boardwalk Merchants 14th Annual Boardwalk Classic Ride-In Bike Show, March 11 at the corner of Main St. & Ocean Ave.
On March 12, visit the 33rd Annual Rat’s Hole Custom Bike Show at the Peabody Auditorium. All contestants line up next to curb on Wild Olive between 7:30am and 8:30 a.m.; judging starts at 10:00 a.m.
The City of Deland plans to offer some new forms of entertainment, too. On Friday night, March 4, enjoy the Leather and Lace Bash, featuring the Art of Leather and Chrome Exhibition, at the Deland Museum; visit the first annual Deland Bike Rally on Saturday, March 5; and take part in the Westside Poker Run on Sunday March 6.
