NPA hosts first auction in Philly

National Powersport Auctions (NPA) kicked off 2017 by hosting its inaugural dealer-only event at its new facility near Philadelphia.  Nearly 250 units were sold during the January 11th grand opening. More importantly for dealers, an entirely new region of the country is now open for business.

“Cruisers, sport bikes, ATVs, side-by-sides, dirt bikes … vehicles in every category went under the gavel,” says Bob Fitzpatrick, general operations manager for the 35,000 sq ft facility.  “The variety of product this early in the year was a great way to introduce the NPA process to dealers in the Northeast.  I am looking forward to the spring and summer months!”

“Not only did we reach our goal of expanding our dealer presence on the Eastern Seaboard, we had over 325 dealers participate in today’s auction hailing from 36 different states,” says Jim Woodruff, NPA’s chief operating officer.  “Best of all, nearly half of the dealers that bought were fresh to NPA.  We’re thrilled with everyone’s enthusiasm for our new location and look forward to helping take the region to the next level.”  NPA offers dealers the ability to bid in person or online through their website www.npauctions.com.

“You can’t have a successful auction unless you have both sellers and buyers,” adds Ryan Keefe, director of marketing for NPA. “Sellers saw we have buyers from around the country with a strong appetite for their aged and trade-in units, while buyers found exactly what they needed all under one roof.”

“Convenience, huge selection and easy selling process are what drew me in,” says Kevin Burk from East 11 Motorcycle Exchange.  Best of all, it is in our own back yard instead of having to travel,” says Burk.

“Many of the top-operating dealers in this area have strong sales year-round in both new and pre-owned product, so it was important that NPA bring their auction process this area,” elaborates Fitzpatrick. Dealers are invited to participate in the next NPA event in the Philly facility on February 8, 2017.
