Polaris Defense secures $20M contract with Canadian special forces

Canada’s special forces will receive a fleet of DAGOR vehicles as part of a $20 million contract, which will be referred to as the Ultra Light Combat Vehicle (ULCV), according to an article in the Ottawa Citizen.

While the contract includes a total of 78 vehicles, 52 were purchased immediately and will be delivered early in 2017. The remaining 26 vehicles will be delivered by early 2018, according to Pierre-Alain Bujold, a spokesman for Public Services and Procurement Canada.

The vehicles will be primarily used by special forces for off-road operations and each vehicle can carry up to nine occupants.

In addition, the contract with Polaris includes technical support services and integrated logistics support for two years.
