After spending 30 years in the same location, Avalanche Harley-Davidson in Lakewood, Colo., plans to move its dealership 10 miles south to a new, larger building, according to BusinessDen.com.
Avalanche’s general manager Ryan Sherman commented that the dealership is in need of an expansion after business since annual motorcycle sales have doubled since 2012. The dealership is currently under contract to purchase a 6-acre property on the southwest corner of West Alameda Parkway and Colorado 470 near Dinosaur Ridge, but no address is available yet for the development.
“We looked at several existing properties and decided this was best for us,” Sherman said. “Being off of C-40 versus being on Colfax — it’s significantly easier access.”
