Yamaha announces HJC to design YZF-R1 helmets

Yamaha Parts and Accessories, a division of Yamaha Motor Corporation, U.S.A., today announced an exclusive collaboration with leading helmet manufacturer, HJC Corporation, to deliver a collection of helmets created specifically for Yamaha owners.

Enhancing Yamaha’s product offering, the newly announced helmet collection will be available from Yamaha’s large network of authorized dealers as well as on http://www.shopyamaha.com, Yamaha’s online apparel and accessories store.

Featuring a RapidFire shield replacement system, Advanced Channeling Ventilation System and constructed of a premium integrated matrix of Carbon Fiber, Aramid, and Fiberglass, these DOT approved helmets are cutting edge. In addition, the crown and cheek pads are comprised of SilverCool Plus, a moisture-wicking and odor-free interior that are fully removable and washable. To top it off, the shield has a one-touch open/close locking system for ease of use.

The two companies’ launched the much anticipated collection at MotoGP’s first U.S. stop in Austin, Texas at the Circuit of the Americas on April 9 -12.
