Strider Sports takes stand against MAP policy violations

New Release

Strider Sports Intl., Inc. (SSI), the world’s premier manufacturer and marketer of balance bikes for all ages and abilities, has rolled out a new Authorized Dealer Agreement and MAP Policy. SSI recognizes that dedicated, professional dealers are key to creating high levels of customer confidence and satisfaction, and satisfied customers are vital to sustaining and growing the industry and the sport. This new policy will allow SSI to protect the investment and margin of those dealers who work hard to promote the brand, quality, and innovation of Strider products.

“Time and again, I hear from dealers trying to run a quality business focused on educating and inspiring people to ride, yet struggling to make ends meet due to all the price cutting and misrepresentation found online,” stated Ryan McFarland, SSI Founder and Chief Enthusiast. “Our goal with this new policy is to support those doing the hard work and cut off those who want to just make a quick buck at the expense of our brand, the industry, and the future of the sport.”

The new policy requires all new and existing dealers to sign a new Authorized Strider Dealer agreement prior to their next order. This includes dealers who are currently purchasing through QBP, Tucker Rocky, WPS, KHS, Seattle Bike Supply, BTI, Olympic Supply or Rumbleship, as well as shops buying directly from SSI. Signing the new agreement will also list the dealer on the StriderBikes.com National Store Locator. Current Strider dealers are being urged to “opt in” and sign a new, updated agreement prior to June 1, the date when the StriderBikes.com National Store Locator will be purged of all dealers who have not updated to the new policy.

Todd Cravens, director of national accounts for QBP, says, “We are so pleased when an industry-leading manufacturer like Strider implements an authorized dealer policy as they are choosing their partners wisely and protecting their brand equity. It is also a good sign for the specialty bike retailer as it gives dealers confidence to stock and sell Strider products.”

The new Strider Authorized Dealer Agreement and MAP Policy are available from the distributors named above, from DealerSupport@StriderBikes.com, or by calling SSI at 605/342-0266.
