Italian bike maker headed to CES in Las Vegas

Energica Ego will be present at CES 2015, the global consumer electronics and technology tradeshow in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The exhibition will take place from January 6th to 9th : the first model Ego from Energica Motor Company will be on display at the ChargePoint booth, #2815. ChargePoint is the world’s largest and most open electric vehicle (EV) charging network (http://www.chargepoint.com/). ChargePoint and Energica have partnered to provide quick and easy access to the over 20,000 public charging locations on the ChargePoint network.
Technology is one of the key drivers shared by both companies. On the one side the 100% Italian-manufactured electric superbike was designed and constructed by CRP Group (www.crp.eu), worldwide known for its state-of-the-art technologies and for its additive manufacturing materials Windform (www.windform.com).
CRP Group, through this international project, has launched the challenge for the affirmation of future eco-friendly high-performance technology.
Energica Ego first prototypes were manufactured using 3D printing and F1 technologies.
ChargePoint makes advanced hardware and supports the network with best-in-class cloud based software. In addition to displaying the partnership with Energica at CES, ChargePoint is unveiling their all-new and advanced home charging station.

ChargePoint has put the EGO through its Vehicle Interoperability Program (VIP) to ensure the bike’s software supports charging on the ChargePoint network and all standard chargers.
Energica is also supplying EGO owners ChargePoint membership cards at no additional cost when they purchase the bike ensuring they have immediate access to the world’s largest network of EV charging stations.
The Energica Ego is available for sales through its network of selected authorized dealers like Newport Italian in California.
