Suzuki America sales increase 30 percent in June YOY

News release

Suzuki Motor of America, Inc. (SMAI) begins the summer by announcing a hot month of sales. The company reports combined monthly sales of motorcycles, scooters, and ATVs are up 30 percent over June 2013, with gains in both the motorcycle and ATV segments. The improved sales performance showed consumer interest across a wide range of products segments, including Utility and Sport ATVs, Cruiser and Touring motorcycles, and Motocross bikes.

Consumers were drawn to Suzuki dealers by both new product announcements, and by industry-leading financing promotions.

“SMAI continues to create attractive sales events that make it easy for customers to buy a Suzuki motorcycle, scooter, or ATV,” said Larry Vandiver, Vice President for SMAI. “The start of our Star-Spangled Summer promotion this month will continue those offerings, with low-interest financing and customer cash back on many new models. And we’ve introduced new motorcycles and ATVs, grabbing the attention of powersports shoppers.”

Suzuki announced new and updated products in June, with the pioneering 2015 Suzuki RM-Z450 bringing Showa SFF Air forks and Suzuki Holeshot Assist Control to the motocross market. Suzuki’s fully updated 2015 DR200S delivers a low-priced, entry-level motorcycle for the DualSport market. The company also announced the 2015 KingQuad 750 and 400 ATVs feature improvements over previous award-winning designs, bringing better engine performance and efficiency.

Following positive financial announcements from SMAI and its parent company Suzuki Motor Corporation in Japan, Suzuki recently told its U.S. dealers that it would again conduct a Dealer Business Meeting in Las Vegas this October. At this meeting, Suzuki will announce several new and updated motorcycles and ATVs. Suzuki will also display products and accessories at Orlando’s AIMExpo in October. One of the founding OEMs at last year’s inaugural AIMExpo, Suzuki will again conduct demo rides at the show’s outdoor exhibit, and will show new vehicles, parts and accessories inside the Orlando Convention Center.
