EBR announces its first 60 dealers

More than 60 U.S. dealerships will be among the first to sell EBR’s 1190RX motorcycle, the company announced Tuesday.

Dealer recruitment began in October, when EBR unveiled its latest bike at AIMExpo in Orlando. The 1190RX is a liquid-cooled, 72-degree V-twin-powered sport bike with a maximum 185 hp at 10,600 RPM and torque of 101.6 ft.-lb. (137.8 Nm) at 8,200 RPM. It will arrive in dealerships in March.

“It was clear from the day we launched the 1190RX and the overall EBR brand that excitement was high in dealerships across the country for the new products,” EBR founder Erik Buell said. “Our team put into place an extensive dealership application process to ensure every customer who has interest in EBR products works with only the best powersports dealers and can build a lifetime relationship.”

The first group of dealers cover the top motorcycle markets and metropolitan areas in 26 states. Florida leads the pack with nine EBR dealers, while Texas has six; Pennsylvania includes five, and California and New Jersey claim four each. Powersports Business Power 50 dealers on the EBR dealer list include: Riva Motorsports & Marine, Pompano Beach, Fla.; Reno’s Powersports, Kansas City, Mo.; Bob Weaver Motorsports & Marine, North Tonawanda, N.Y.; Ray Price of Fayetteville, Fayetteville, N.C.; and Dreyer Honda South, Whiteland, Ind.

EBR will continue to add dealers to its U.S. network throughout 2014. EBR is also building dealer networks in Europe and Australia.
