Mustang introduces Triumph seat line at Parts

From Mustang’s booth at the Parts Unlimited/Drag Specialties National Vendor Presentation in August in Madison, Wis., dealers and reps got some of the first peeks at the company’s new line of seats for Triumph Bonnevilles and Thunderbirds.

“For more than 30 years, Mustang Motorcycle Products, LLC has worked hard to build its reputation for manufacturing the world’s most comfortable motorcycle seats,” Mustang director of sales Steve Veltri said in a press release. “Think of it as New England craftsmanship meets olde English styling as Mustang reaches out to Triumph riders with the simple message ‘Discover what a difference comfort makes.’”

Mustang’s Classic Seat for the Bonneville variants, including the T100, Scrambler and Thruxton, updates period-correct styling with modern materials, Mustang reported. A Sport Touring seat is also available for those models, offering a slight ridge to keep the rider in place, with a plush pillion section for the passenger.

“Both pilot and passenger should appreciate the traditional Tuck and Roll styling, while dealers will appreciate the fact that our seats fit Bonnevilles from 2001-13,” Veltri said. “This makes it a great stocking item.”

Mustang has also made its DayTripper and Tripper Fastback to fit the 1,600cc Thunderbird cruisers, as well as a two-piece touring seat for those models. Each features Mustang’s proprietary padding, which the company calls a perfect combination of open- and closed-cell foam.

“Combine this material with Mustang’s custom-tailored baseplates and you have a seat that looks and feels great,” Veltri said.

Each seat in Mustang’s Triumph line includes an ergonomic shape that keeps riders firmly and comfortably seated, an expanded vinyl cover that stands up to the elements and controlled density foam to improve rider comfort. All of Mustang’s seats are handcrafted in the U.S.
