LeoVince USA has been acquired by Geared Up Powersports, a California Limited Liability company owned by longtime LeoVince USA exec Tim Calhoun.
With the purchase, Calhoun will move from executive vice president to CEO and president. Calhoun has been with LeoVince USA since its inception more than nine years ago. The company will continue to operate without interruption under the LeoVince USA name.
Sito Gruppo, the parent company of the LeoVince family of brands, has moved to standardize its global expansion operations, and as such, Sito has partnered with Geared Up Powersports in an exclusive distribution agreement.
Geared Up also purchased the assets of Fusetta LLC (formerly operated as Sito USA LLC) on June 28. Fusetta has been the U.S. marketing and sales organization that sold and managed the LeoVince brand in the U.S. and Canada.
“It’s important to Sito to standardize global operations, and it was an exceptional opportunity for myself and the company. Our goal is to continue growing LeoVince USA, which has established itself as a premium source of exceptional motorcycle exhausts and carbon fiber protective pieces in the North American market,” Calhoun said. “This change will have a positive impact for the riders and dealers who have come to expect the quality and care our staff and brand offer. We now have the ability to react swiftly to changing markets, address emerging opportunities and expand our U.S. operation to include additional premium brands.”
LeoVince USA expanded its distribution in 2012, with a second warehouse added in Indianapolis. That warehouse was designed to expedite deliveries to the eastern U.S. and to improve delivery times throughout Canada.
LeoVince USA says it will continue its dealer and racing support programs with increased efforts and added brands going into 2014. LeoVince USA will be at Booth 901 at the American International Motorcycle Expo (AIMExpo) Oct. 16-20 in Orlando.
