John Deere Gator, Can-Am Commanders recalled

John Deere and BRP have issued recalled on certain side-by-sides.

John Deere has recalled 4,650 Gator UTVs because the fuel line can separate, posing a fire hazard.

The vehicles affected by the recall include Gator RSX850i Base, Sport and Trail models manufactured between May and October 2012. John Deere has received three reports of separated fuel lines, but no injuries have been reported.

The company is notifying all registered owners of the recalled Gators. Customers are being asked to contact their John Deere dealer for a free inspection and repair.

BRP has recalled about 3,400 Can-Am Commanders because improper assembly of the steering column to the rack and pinion can result in a loss of steering control.

BRP has received three reports of vehicles losing steering control, but no injuries have been reported. The affected units include 2011 and 2012 Commander 800, 1000, XT 800R, XT 1000 and X 1000 models, as well as the 2012 Commander Limited 1000.

 

BRP has notified registered owners of the affected Commanders. Customers are being asked to contact their BRP dealer for a free repair.
