WPS adds to staff, distributes FOX FLOAT 2 ski shocks

Western Power Sports has been making a lot of noise this week, hiring two new employees and announcing that WPS is now distributing FOX snowmobile FLOAT 2 ski shocks.

Jason Thomas, a Supercross/Motocross racer since 1997, has joined the FLY Racing/Sedona Tire & Wheel team as its International Distributor Sales Manager. He has been involved with FLY Racing since 2003.

“While it was bittersweet to end a long racing career, Western Power Sports offered me the chance of a lifetime to work with a company that shares the values and character that I have always tried to exude. Having worn FLY for many years now, I am blown away at how far it has come in every facet. I can’t wait to be hands on in helping further that growth,” he said.

Matt Ware has also joined WPS as a full-time in-house videographer. Ware will work on action, lifestyle and product videos for WPS brands, including FLY Racing, out of the WPS headquarter in Boise, Idaho.

Ware began working at Racer X Illustrated as a freshman intern from West Virginia University. After six years of working full-time with Racer X, he had began freelancing before being hired by WPS.

In another announcement, WPS revealed that it is now a distributor for the complete line of FOX snowmobile FLOAT 2 ski shocks, as well as related service parts, upgrade kits and necessary tools for the products.

“FOX has a long history of winning races. I grew up watching snocross legends like Nathan Titus and Kirk Hibbert winning on FOX shocks,” WPS product manager Rich Kumm said. “And the legacy continues with today’s top athletes like Ross Martin, Robbie Malinoski, and Tucker Hibbert reaching the top box with FOX.”

“I’m excited to be working with such a top-notch company and passing their high-quality line of suspension on to our dealers,” Kumm added.

FOX aftermarket sales representative Carey Daku said, “We are excited to add WPS as a FOX distributor. They are a proven leader in the aftermarket snowmobile segment and will be able to provide their dealers with instant access to our FLOAT 2 ski shocks, upgrade kits and the tools and parts needed to properly service their customers.”
