Dealership buys former department store

The sale of an old Macy’s department store has been finalized, allowing a powersports dealer to move into the Midway Mall in Elyria, Ohio, according to an article in The Chronicle-Telegram.

Johnny K’s Powersports, a motorcycle, PWC and boat dealer, will move from Brookpark, Ohio to 3000 Midway Mall in Elyria, Ohio 44035. 

The dealership purchased the former department store of $625,000. Owner John Kalogerou told the news source that the location is ideal because of its highway access.

The new location will allow for an expansion from 10,000 square feet in the original building to 103,000 square feet in the new space. Kalogerou plans to expand inventory and include Indian Motorcycles and Polaris ATVs.
