No injuries were reported in the fire. The dealership owners released a statement in a e-newsletter to its followers: “Tejas Motorsports will be closed for a few days due to a fire in our New Vehicle Showroom last night. No customer vehicles were damaged. That being said, due to insurance requirements we cannot release any vehicles until the insurance inspectors have assessed the damage. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, however we must abide by the insurance company’s stipulations.

The fire damaged our phone system and we are without phones at this time; the phone company will be working to restore our phone service, but it may take a few days.

We appreciate the outpouring of concern for us and our staff, and we are thankful to the Lord that no one was harmed physically. The damage can and will be repaired and we’ll get back to regular business as quickly as possible.”

The dealership is keeping its followers updated via its Facebook page, and believes that both internet and phone lines will be restored by end of the work day on Friday. Tejas Motorsports sells Yamaha, KTM, Suzuki, KYMCO and CFMOTO vehicles.
