Yamaha recalls 22K motorcycles

Yamaha Motor Corporation, USA issued a recall on 22,433 units, when it was found that the handlebar mounts may loosen, causing loss of vehicle control and increasing the risk of a crash.

This recall affects certain 2015-17 FJ-09, FZ-09 and XSR900 motorcycles. The lower handlebar holder may loosen due to a painting issue and the inadequate application of the thread-locking agent.

Yamaha will notify owners, and dealers will replace the lower handlebar holder, free of charge.
