MOMS plans N.H. dealership acquisition

MOMS, with three stores in New England, announced it is acquiring a Polaris and John Deere dealership located in Lancaster, N.H. MOMS executives have signed a letter of intent for the purchase of F.B. Spaulding, which has been in operation since 1902. This acquisition that would give MOMS two multi-line dealerships in New Hampshire.

The following is a press release from MOMS:

MOMS was founded in 1973 in Manchester, NH, and initially offered service work and pre-owned powersports vehicles. Like the Spaulding Company, MOMS is a family owned and operated business whose staff focuses on offering fair prices and delivering outstanding customer service. If completed, the acquisition would give MOMS two New Hampshire dealerships and dealerships in Foxboro and Revere, Massachusetts.

“We have long admired the way the Spaulding Company served Lancaster-area customers, and we’re eager to provide the area with an expanded product selection and our special MOMS brand of customer service,” said MOMS President Joel Wheeler.

Wheeler said MOMS would likely retain Spaulding employees and install additional MOMS staff members to oversee the ownership transition. MOMS plans to dramatically increase the number of powersports products available for sale at the Lancaster dealership, expand the parts and service operations, and invest in marketing that reaches customers across northern New England and in Canada.

Every MOMS dealership has access to vast financing resources and offers personalized financing to suit each customer’s unique needs. Convenient, in-store financing is available, and MOMS specializes in successfully securing financing for every customer.

“We also foresee catering to touring riders on snowmobiles, off-road vehicles, and in Slingshots as they ride the region’s spectacular trails and roads, in the U.S. and Canada,” Wheeler said. “MOMS newest location would become a destination dealership for touring riders as we meet all of their vehicle, parts, service, and apparel needs.”

Pending completion of the acquisition, MOMS plans to continue to sell and service John Deere products, Honda Power Equipment, STIHL products, and additional lawn and garden product lines at the Lancaster store. The dealership will also continue to offer several of the farm and hardware products the store has traditionally carried.
