Scott Fischer Enterprises expands Basic RiderCourse offerings

Scott Fischer Enterprises, owner of Six Bends Harley-Davidson and Naples Harley-Davidson, has transitioned Harley-Davidson Riding Academy management to Motorcycle Training Institute Inc., Florida’s largest motorcycle training provider. The Motorcycle Training Institute will combine the Motorcycle Safety Foundation’s Basic RiderCourse curriculum with additional Harley-Davidson Riding Academy activities to enhance the current New Rider Course programs at both Southwest Florida Harley-Davidson locations.

Since its inception in 1998, the Motorcycle Training Institute Inc. has trained more than 110,000 riders in the state of Florida. The research-based curriculum for the Basic RiderCourse is designed to teach beginners the physical and mental skills necessary to ride safely. The 15-hour course includes student workbooks, helmets and a motorcycle for 10 hours of “on cycle” training on a Harley-Davidson Street 500 motorcycle. Students will work with RiderCoaches, experienced motorcycle operators who are nationally certified by the Motorcycle Safety Foundation.
